McGettigan's Irish Pub - Bonnington Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai
When
I'm in Dubai I love popping to any of the McGettigans, but the JLT brach has
great gigs as well. In terms of food, it's 'pub grub' type food. There are a few
gluten free options, but make sure to talk to the chef when you're there if you
have any allergies. Great place for a Guinness with wings or ribs. They
have burgers and other things on the menu but for me it usually just beer and
wings or ribs. I have heard the Irish stew is very good. The place
is huge consisting of a bar and lots of different style of seating available.
They have the outdoor area where you can sit and talk and enjoy your evening,
as you would do in a lounge and they have the indoor area with either sport on
the screens or loud dancing music! The music is great and they are playing both
the old favorite songs and the new popular ones. Just an absolute great place
to hang out with friends, you can go in whatever clothes you like and you
can be silly or loud and no one will really notice.
Ambience
is always good and it’s always packed on weekends. If you live near JLT, then
this is the regular hangout place at nights. It’s a great place to go after a
long week of work. The live bands on Thursday, they have are always extremely
talented and entertaining. Service is top notch. And it’s just the liveliest
place in JLT.
