India-based Lite Bite Foods expands in SE Asia with the brand Punjab Grill in Bangkok
Bangkok, Thailand –India-based Lite Bite
Foods Pvt. Ltd., owners and operators of fine-dining Indian cuisine
under the brand name of “Punjab Grill”, today opened its third overseas
branch in Bangkok to further expand its footprint into Southeast Asia.
“Following
an unexpectedly warm welcome to our Singapore restaurant located in
Marina Bay Sands, we feel that this is the perfect timing to come
to Bangkok especially in light of increased tourism and demand for
fine-dining Indian cuisine as well as a significantly large Indian

Punjab
Grill Bangkok commands a total space of 280 square meters including the
bar and lounge, and has a seating capacity for 70 guests. Diners
who have experienced Punjab Grill’s cuisine in India, Abu Dhabi or
Singapore will now be able to enjoy the restaurant’s signature dishes of
‘Avocado Papdi Chaat’ (avocado tossed with sweet and spicy chutneys and marinated cherry tomatoes, and served
in flour roll cones), ‘Tawa Scallops’ (pan-seared, spiced king
scallops, served with saffron scented Tandoori cauliflower puree and
topped with cauliflower fritters) and ‘Tandoori Jheenga’(tiger prawns scented with carom seed and char-grilled
in a tandoori oven, served with mint and coriander chutney).
Announcing the launch of Punjab Grill in
Bangkok, Rohit Aggarwal, Director, Lite Bite Foods said, "After
consolidating presence and making a strong connect with food lovers in
the various cities like Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Delhi,
Mumbai, Pune & Bangalore, this is the perfect time for us to enter
the City of Angels.” He further added,
Bangkok as a local palate is quite
different as compared to the rest of the world. Considering the
demographics of the city, our menu mix is slightly bigger here as
compared to other cities.”
The
menu at Punjab Grill Bangkok has been designed by Chef Gurpreet Singh
& Chef Bharath Bhat. Chef Bharath brings with him a wealth of
experience
from 5-star hotels and resorts such as Grosvenor House Dubai, Armani
hotels, St. Regis, Le Meridien and Alila resorts. He has played a major
role to ensure that not only high quality fresh ingredients and local
produce are available, but also that the dishes
selected reflect the discerning standards and authenticity of the
Punjab Grill brand.
