House of commons, is a gastro pub located in the heart
of Delhi –Connaught Place. The name of this place is influenced by the lower
house of parliament of United Kingdom. This place provides an old world charm
of the British colonial architecture.
Ambience- The ambience completely justifies the name.
The Brit influence can be felt, very well as the ambience portrays the cool
look of the city of London. The walls are adorned with everything that comes in
mind when one thinks of the city: the tube, the clubs and the Trademark Double
decker bus. The lighting is a bit dim and the furniture is red and green. There
is ample seating space here, divided into different sections, which can serve
good number of guests at one time.
Food Menu- The menu is perfectly executed, serving
typical gastro pub food yet maintaining a balance in best of Indian and
International cuisines. Thus suits the hearty need of every individual
customer. One of the customized parts of their food menu is the description
about either the food or its origin.
Food-The food is comforting and hearty in its true
sense and has been expertly paired with good choice of alcoholic and
non-alcoholic beverages. Some cocktails and mocktails are truly class apart.
Some of their starters in Vegetarian include…
-Palak Patta Chaat
– Crispy palak patta topped with yogurt, tamarind and sevs. This Indian chaat
option can never go wrong with taste and is made perfectly. Truly a repeat
dish.
- Tacos with salsa- a crisp bed of baked mozzarella cheese,
filled with yogurt, kidney beans and salsa. A lip smacking Mexican delight to
indulge in.
