Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival in China, is
China's most important traditional festival. It is also the most important
celebration for families. Chinese New Year, known in modern Chinese as
the "Spring Festival" in Mainland China, is an important
Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese
calendar.
The first day of the New Year falls on the new moon between
21 January and 20 February. In 2017, the first day of the Chinese New Year is
on Saturday, 28 January, initiating another year of the rooster.

Royal Plaza has curated a special menu at it’s specialty restaurant “Jasmine”.
Chef Atul Mishra in association with Sous Chef Nandan has done a wonderfully
exciting menu. The Special day of the Chinese New Year is on 28th
January and the festival is on till date. Focussing on “Cantonese” and
Schezwanese” cuisines primarily, the dishes have been prepared with
authenticity incorporating the local flavors suiting the Indian palate.
“Jasmine” is a traditionally done up Chinese restaurant
located on the ground floor of the hotel. Its big and is always bustling with
crowds both inhouse as well as from outside. The kitchen is open and one can
see the chefs working and churning out delicacies.
Exclusive
menu for the new year festival includes different Chinese meals. The
menu comprises of mouth-watering starters like Lobster in
Tiger Chilly, Slice Fish in Ginger Chilly, Mandarin Prawn, Crispy
fry lotus stems sweet chilly
among others. The menu is not just limited to starters, the main course
includes Stir fried fish chilly oyster, Braised Lobster in Black
Bean Sauce, Roast duck with chilly hoisin, Slice lamb Kung pao that
one can have with noodles or rice.
As
far as the dessert section is concerned, Moon Cake and Date Pancake with ice-cream will
be the best way to wrap your meal. The new
menu will put different tastes and flavors on your plate with the perfectly
attractive presentation.
The Duck rolls and the Dimsums are a must try. Lobster in chili
sauce is also a must have for the foodies who love sea food. The regular menu
also has much to offer. One can savour the jasmine tea with the meal to wash it
down.
