OYSTERS BEACH - Paradise in Water
Some
of us are lucky enough to live within a rogue inflatable ball's reach of the world's
best beaches. Some of us can paddle out for a ride on the greatest waves on a
whim.
For those
of us who live farther inland, or prefer something less salty, there are still
watery joys to be had, in the form of the water parks. Summer is officially
upon us. For most of us, the word conjures up images of hill stations, sipping
chilled sodas and lemonades, and sweltering hot days spent bathing 3-4 times. For
thrill seekers, sometimes the best part of summer is the feeling of plummeting
down a waterslide into a chlorinated wonderland.
Located in
the heart of the city, behind HUDA City Metro Station, Oysters Beach,
Entertainment District, Sector 29, Gurgaon, has opened its gates on April 16,
2015. The beach is open from 11am to 7pm.
In the evenings the beach becomes an
entertainment hub where one can dine and tap a foot on music with friends late
into the night.
Oysters Beach is a unique experience nestled in the heart of the millennium
city of Gurgaon right behind HUDA City Metro Station; It is the ultimate haven
for all water lovers this summer.
Oysters Beach is spread over 10
acres and offers some of the craziest water rides you would have ever
experienced. With a total of 15 water rides ranging from thrilling,
daring, adrenaline pumping, steep falls to mindboggling rushes.
To mention a
few:

everyday hustle bustle of life and bond afresh. The other major attractions
include rides like Rapid Racer, Lazy & Crazy River, Typhoon Tunnel,
Float Slides and Pirate Station.
And that’s not all! When at the
beach, enjoy some freshly prepared and lip-smacking food? In order to serve our
taste buds, Oysters has a wide array of cuisines in the form of Food Court,
which has 4 multi-speciality restaurants --Southern Bay offering the
best of South Indian Cuisine (recommend dish: Masala Dosa); Aroma Coast
that serves delicious Italian Cuisine (all time favourite: Pizza & Pasta);
next is Tidal Tadka from North offering you the sorted yet masaledaar
North Indian Cuisine (not to miss: Butter Chicken) and last but not the least Langkawi
Bay that serves Oriental Cuisine (must have: Chilly Chicken).
Fest- an area inside the beach,
fully air conditioned where one can relish authentic north-indian and beach
food. If you are still
looking for something more to this place, they will not disappoint you as they
have a Low Tide restaurant serving World Cuisine i.e. Italian,
Continental, Oriental, Indian etc., a High Tide bar (liquor license
awaited) that lets you enjoy a glass of chilled beer under the open sky and
some little shacks and kiosks for you to munch around while splashing in water.
Post having
these delectable yet varied cuisines, you could also indulge in Volley Ball,
Soccer, Interactive Cinema, Rain dance, Sand castles, other Beach sports like
Tug of War, that are sure to knock you off your feet. If all this doesn’t
enthuse you to pull up your socks, you can have a ball of a time at the gaming
arcade and also satisfy the shopper in you at the Flea Market.
In case, you are
someone who loves to sit back and relax under the sun by the beach side, here
is a perfect rejuvenation for you—the Spa. If you need a personal place
and you wish to hang out with your gang under the shade, Gamping (glamourous
camping) is something that can bring some kick to the afternoon. From playing
cards to enjoying cabana you could do so much here!
We the TWCI-The Writers Collective of
India had an awesome experience here. Thru the day we enjoyed the slides and being
in the wave pool. Had really good food at the Low Tide restaurant, which offers
continental, Indian, oriental and mix of cuisines. Beautiful ambiance, of being in the
middle of the wave pools. It has big glass windows on all sides giving a 180 degree
view on both sides. Food offered is fresh with wide range of salads,
sandwiches, cold cuts as well as main course like lamb rogan josh, chicken
dishes, fish (oriental preparation) rice, breads and pasta too. They serve
starters like chilli chicken, manchurian etc on the table itself. This whole
spread is very reasonably priced at Rs.599/- A.I. and 399/- for children.
The children enjoy the most, with
unending slides and water activity options. We also loved the crazy/lazy river
which is just floating on the tube relaxing under the open sky.
They have introduced
a MOB - Music on Beach. The
MOB is a one-of-its-kind destination designed to blow your mind. Music on the
Beach….yes the beach at Oysters. Wade in the water with your favourite
beverage, groove to mind thumping music and see the stars dancing. Every weekend the MOB is led by a different artist. So
watch out for whose leading the MOB next weekend and join the MOB.
Every Saturday, a local celebrity performs and Sunday is for renowned celebrities/musicians/artists
etc
Having
said that, the mood for all the happiness is set right with the varied
philosophies of background music that will be played. So whether you are at the
ticket counter, spa, food court or in the pool a different beat shall accompany
you. Loud, soothing and enthralling music shall set the stage at this perfect
outdoor venue making sure there is something to delight young and old beach
goers alike.
